Parking
Parking in downtown San Diego can be expensive. Both conference hotels do charge extra for parking.
Fortunately, parking at San Diego City College should be easier. You may park in any student lot without fees or permits. You will be ticketed for parking in staff lots without a SDCC staff permit as the college is fullly staffed during the conference. Download campus map of San Diego City College.
Although San Diego has a mild climate, it can be cool so you’ll want to bring some extra layers including a sweater or jacket. Fog, especially in the mornings, is so common in June, locals call it "June Gloom." Rain is highly unlikely, but not impossible. Bring comfortable walking shoes and a camera, especially if you want to explore the downtown area or Balboa Park.
WiFi and public terminals will be available on campus, so the decision whether or not to bring your laptop is up to you, unless you are attending a Bring Your Own Laptop lab, in which you'll need it.
The event is brought together through a joint effort of the California Educational Technology Consortium (CETC), and Computer Using Educators (CUE). Both groups focus their efforts on improving K20 education through the use of technology. www.k20cetc.org | www.cue.org
